เมื่อวันที่ 14 มีนาคม 2567 – ศูนย์ความเป็นเลิศด้านนวัตกรรมสารสนเทศ (IICE) มหาวิทยาลัยวลัยลักษณ์ ได้รับเชิญจาก Ms. Suchismita Swain ผู้อำนวยการหลักสูตร/วิทยากร สหภาพไปรษณีย์แห่งเอเชียและแปซิฟิก (APPU) เพื่อสาธิตระบบห้องสมุดอัตโนมัติ WALAI AutoLib Ultimate โดย ดร.ศิริภิญโญ จันทมุณี อาจารย์สำนักวิชาวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ และเจ้าหน้าที่จากจากสำนักวิชาสารสนเทศศาสตร์ คือ นายพีระยุทธ เมตปรีชา และ นางสาวนาฏยา แขสวัสดิ์ ได้ร่วมบรรยายสรุปคุณสมบัติและสาธิตฟังก์ชันการใช้งานต่างๆ ของระบบผ่านระบบออนไลน์

โดยระบบที่ทำการสาธิตนั้นคือ ระบบห้องสมุดอัตโนมัติ WALAI AutoLib Ulitimate เป็นระบบที่พัฒนาโดย IICE มหาวิทยาลัยวลัยลักษณ์ เพื่อรองรับการบริหารจัดการห้องสมุดยุคใหม่ ด้วยฟังก์ชันการใช้งานที่ครบถ้วน ทันสมัย ใช้งานง่าย และมีประสิทธิภาพสูง ซึ่งการสาธิตในครั้งนี้มุ่งเน้นไปที่การนำเสนอคุณสมบัติเด่นของระบบ WALAI AutoLib Ulitimate เช่น
- การจัดการฐานข้อมูลสารสนเทศ
- บริการยืม-คืน สื่อสิ่งพิมพ์
- ระบบสืบค้นอัจฉริยะ
- การจัดการสมาชิก
- การวิเคราะห์สถิติ

Ms. Suchismita Swain และผู้เข้าร่วมประชุมจาก APPU ต่างให้ความสนใจและประทับใจในระบบ WALAI AutoLib Ulitimate โดยเฉพาะฟังก์ชันการใช้งานที่หลากหลาย ใช้งานง่าย และสามารถรองรับความต้องการของห้องสมุดยุคใหม่ได้อย่างครบถ้วน การสาธิตในครั้งนี้ถือเป็นโอกาสอันดีในการเผยแพร่ผลงานวิจัยและนวัตกรรมของ IICE มหาวิทยาลัยวลัยลักษณ์สู่เวทีระดับนานาชาติ และสร้างความร่วมมือกับองค์กรต่างๆ ในภูมิภาคเอเชียและแปซิฟิกต่อไป
IICE Showcases WALAI AutoLib Ultimate, an Automated Library System, to the Asian-Pacific Postal Union March 14, 2024 – The Information and Innovation Excellence Center (IICE) at Walailak University was invited by Ms. Suchismita Swain, Course Director/Lecturer of the Asian-Pacific Postal Union (APPU), to demonstrate the WALAI AutoLib Ulitimate automated library system.
Dr. Siriphinyo Chanthamunee from the School of Engineering, along with Mr. Phirayut Metpreeชา and Ms. Nattaya Kaesawat from the School of Information Science, presented the system's features and demonstrated its various functions via an online Zoom meeting held at the IICE Conference Room on March 14, 2024.
The WALAI AutoLib Ulitimate automated library system was developed by IICE, Walailak University, to support the management of modern libraries. It offers comprehensive, contemporary, user-friendly, and highly efficient functionalities.
The demonstration focused on presenting the key features of the WALAI AutoLib Ultimate system, such as:
Information resource database management
Circulation services for printed materials
Intelligent search system
Member management
Statistical analysis
Integration with other systems
Ms. Suchismita Swain and the APPU participants were impressed by the WALAI AutoLib Ultimate system, particularly its diverse functionalities, user-friendliness, and ability to meet the needs of modern libraries comprehensively.
The demonstration served as an excellent opportunity to showcase IICE, Walailak University's research and innovation, on an international stage and to foster collaboration with various organizations in the Asia-Pacific region.
